Ferrari 308

Whilst not unusual, Its not exactly every day that we have a Ferrari in for a service mixing it with MG’s, Jaguars, Porches and racing cars. Today we have a Freshly imported LHD Ferrari 308. The car is having a thorough checkover and full service for its new owner. These cars can often look nice but sometimes they suffer from some service items being overlooked as access to some things such as the front set of spark plugs can be difficult, and time consuming. The New owner of this car can be assured that everything that need checking...

Lots of Variety

Some weeks the workshop seems to be full of a particular brand but this week we have a lot of variety. Some in for servicing, some for restoration and upgrades, and a couple of race cars being prepared for their next outing.   At the moment the road cars in the workshop include  a very nice Porsche 911 targa we have just sold , a Bristol and a Healey 100 in for servicing together with an MG-F and an MGB-GTV8 and an MG TD.                   As usual for the start of the season there are also...

Getting ready for the new season

With the 2015 Racing and Show season not far away, we’re busy in the workshop. A Pair of ZT-260’s

Its not often you see an MG ZT-260 with its Mustang V8 engine, and even rarer to see a pair of them together. Especially when one of them has a Roushe supercharged V8 under the bonnet. In the workshop this week, we had this very nice grey example in for a full service. Here it is sitting out side the Workshop with our own Supercharged example. With one car sitting idling we just had to fire up the supercharged car for a V8 orchestra. Running our own car and fitting the Roushe supercharged engine to it, there is little we dont know about these...

Ac Ace in the Workshop

We have a very rare car in the workshop this week. In for general servicing, some engine setup work and an mot we have possibly the very last AC Ace. The rest of the workshop seems filled with Race cars and MGB’s undergoing full restoration. The Mcr team have a busy weekend ahead at the race track, with a car at Castle Coombe on Saturday and then a log trip down to Snetterton for the 4 hour relay race on Sunday. As well as running cars on Sunday, MCR’s own Dominic Mooney is entered in the Bright Green Sebring sprite which has been...

Deep Sanderson

Here we have in the workshop a very well known if a little quirky 1960’s Le Mans Race car. A Deep Sanderson. This small mid engined Car was built in low volumes in the 1960’s and this car was the Factory race car that competed at Le Mans several times.   With its Mid mounted A-series engine and light chassis the car was clocked at a remarkable 150mph+ on the straight at Le Mans in 1964. The car is now looked after by another local race team and was at Midland Classic Restorations for some modifications to the roll cage for the new...
