British Sports GT and Saloon Challenge – Spa Francorchamps 2014
With the Qualifying session for Sundays 1 hour race completed Dom is sitting in 36th put of 74 Qualifiers after completing 9 laps in a damp and slippery qualifying session.
Dominic managed a lap time of 3.23 seconds, still getting used to the car that he’s only driven once this year at Silverstone.
The weather forecast for the race is as uncertain as it can be at Spa, but in a wet race we would expect to see Dom climb up the Leaderboard ย as the conditions reduce the advantage of the more powerful cars some with engines 4 times bigger than the little Sebring Sprite. In the dry with the long straights at Spa the more powerful cars have a big advantage, but the Combination of Dominic Mooney and the handling of the MCR built Sebring Sprite can still do some giant killing even the class the sprite is running in has V8 MG’s and a Mustang to contend with.
