This car was Built for the previous owner to enter the race in 2010, and was extensively rebuilt for the 2012 event.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-520\" src=\"http:\/\/www.localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Le-Mans-Citroen-Team-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Le Mans Citroen C4\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Le-Mans-Citroen-Team-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Le-Mans-Citroen-Team.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Car ran well for the first two races but a snapped oil pump drive in the (non MCR built) engine in the last race lead to a non finish in the last race. Although the car finished in the overall results well ahead of some well known competition, such as Derek Bell in the Bentley!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-521\" src=\"http:\/\/www.localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Refueling-1932-Citroen-at-Le-mans-Classic-2012-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Refuelling the Le Mans Citroen in the Pit Lane\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Refueling-1932-Citroen-at-Le-mans-Classic-2012-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Refueling-1932-Citroen-at-Le-mans-Classic-2012.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For 2014 The car has been once again prepared by MCR and this time the engine has been built in house so we are hoping for a great result. Three of the original drivers are back for another crack at this prestigious event.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last 18 months the Citroen Le Mans car has been stripped down and everything checked or replaced. The Engine and gear box have been totally stripped and rebuilt with the aim of better performance and reliability whilst making sure everything complies with the strict \u00a0FIA rules \u00a0and regulations and the cars Homologation.<\/p>\n<p>To Prepare the drivers they along With Dominic from MCR have been regularly driving the car to iron out any issues and get used to driving a 1932 Citroen again. With its crash gearbox, 80 year old braking system and skinny tyres its very different from the v8 automatic Jaguar normally driven by one of its owners, and even the 1964 appendix K MGB&#8217;s that Both paul and Gary regularly race in the UK\u00a0( Also run and prepared by MCR)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-519\" src=\"http:\/\/www.localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Checking-Le-Mans-Citroen-before-the-Race-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"1932 Citroen C4 at Le Mans Classic 2012\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Checking-Le-Mans-Citroen-before-the-Race-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/localhost:10034\/sagaris\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Checking-Le-Mans-Citroen-before-the-Race.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In little over a month the team will be loaded up and headed across the Channel for a week at the La Sarthe Circuit.
